Stelfox is partnering with a rapidly growing Dublin-based technology organisation that is expanding its engineering function and hiring three Senior Backend Python Developers on a long-term contract basis.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial Python development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Flask, Django, or similar Python frameworks.
• Proven experience building and supporting RESTful APIs.
• Strong SQL and relational database expertise.
• Solid Linux/Unix development and administration experience.
• Experience with Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and scalable backend architectures.
• Experience working within Agile software delivery teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust backend applications using Python.
• Develop and support scalable RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Contribute to the architecture of distributed systems and cloud-native solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects, UX teams, and Software Engineers.
• Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot and optimise application performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews and champion engineering best practices.
• Support CI/CD initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement across the software delivery lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior team members where required.
