Job summary

Stelfox Tech Recruitment is seeking a Senior Web Developer (Node.js) on a daily rate contractor basis for a hybrid role in Ireland. You will design, build, and maintain backend services, APIs, and data storage, collaborating with architects and cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable solutions.

The role requires 5+ years of backend experience, strong Node.js skills, and familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of backend development in complex environments.
• Experience with Node.js; knowledge of Python/Go is a plus.
• Experience with MSSQL/PostgreSQL/MongoDB and Redis caching.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain server-side apps and microservices using Node.js.
• Architect and manage high-performance APIs (REST or GraphQL).
• Integrate with third-party suppliers, legacy systems, and internal data sources.
• Design and maintain database schemas (SQL or NoSQL).
• Perform root cause analysis and ensure production stability and security.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects on data governance and cloud standards.
• Provide technical leadership during sprint planning and progress updates.
• Support the Programme Manager with backend-related dependencies.
