Job summary

ID-Pal is seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer to design, develop and scale secure, high-availability systems powering identity verification and onboarding in regulated markets. You will work in a security-focused, compliance-driven environment where performance and data integrity are paramount.

The role centers on Java Spring with some TypeScript, with integration to frontends via Angular/React.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development experience with proven track record.
• Strong Java (Spring) experience; TypeScript exposure is a plus.
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity.
• RESTful API design and server-side architecture understanding.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native services (AWS/Azure).

Responsibilities

• Build scalable, secure backend systems using Java (Spring) and TypeScript.
• Contribute to automation pipelines and AI-assisted engineering practices.
• Design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs.
• Integrate new solutions and APIs into existing frontends.
• Champion secure development standards across backend systems.
