Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer, AI Platform, based in Ireland, to join an AI-focused SaaS engineering team. This fully remote role centers on Python backend development, APIs, and AI orchestration.

You will build scalable services, integrate AI outputs into customer workflows, and collaborate with product, frontend, and platform teams to embed AI features across the SaaS platform. Experience with LangChain, REST APIs, and production backend reliability is valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience, ideally within a SaaS environment.
• Strong proficiency in Python and building production-grade backend services.
• Experience with REST APIs and SaaS integrations.
• Familiarity with LangChain, Vercel AI SDK, and MCP servers.
• Ability to bridge Python-based AI services with other tech stacks.
• Strong collaboration across product, platform, frontend, and integration teams.
• Knowledge of PHP and/or Golang is a plus.
• Ability to work remotely within an international EMEA environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services that integrate AI capabilities into customer-facing features.
• Develop scalable APIs and backend services connecting AI outputs with SaaS workflows.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to create AI-driven user experiences.
• Partner with platform and integration teams to embed AI capabilities into existing systems, services, and workflows.
• Implement observability, monitoring, error handling, and reliability practices for AI services in production.
• Contribute to the evolution of the AI integration stack, including Python SDKs, MCP servers, and LLM orchestration.
• Ensure AI-powered features are seamlessly integrated into the wider SaaS platform and deliver smarter, faster, personalized workflows.
• Become a trusted engineering partner for AI product integration across the organization.
