Job summary

E-Frontiers in Swords near Dublin Airport is seeking a Senior Back-End Web Developer to support a major digital transformation programme focused on passenger experience and operational efficiency. The role centers on scalable Node.js back-end systems and secure APIs, within a hybrid model requiring three days onsite each week at Dublin Airport.

You will design, build and integrate server-side architectures, databases, and services for a large digital ecosystem, collaborating in an Agile team

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience as a Back-End Developer in complex environments.
• Strong Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript experience; Python or Go would be an advantage.
• Experience with MSSQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB, including Redis for caching.
• Experience with Azure/cloud platforms and CI/CD in Agile environments using Jira or Azure DevOps.

• Integrate systems with third-party suppliers, legacy platforms and internal data sources.

The Role

We're looking for a Senior Back-End Web Developer to support a major digital transformation programme focused on improving passenger experience and operational efficiency at Dublin Airport.

This Senior Back-End Developer role will focus on building scalable server-side architecture, APIs and integration layers powering a large digital ecosystem.

• Build secure, high-performance REST and/or GraphQL APIs for web and mobile applications.
• Integrate systems with third-party suppliers, legacy platforms and internal data sources.
• Design and maintain SQL/NoSQL databases, including performance and caching strategies.
• Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analysis and ensure backend stability, security and performance.

About You

• 5+ years' experience as a Back-End Developer working in complex technical environments.
• Strong Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript experience; Python or Go would be an advantage.
• Strong database knowledge across technologies such as MSSQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB, with experience using caching solutions such as Redis.
• Experience with Azure/cloud platforms and CI/CD, ideally within an Agile delivery environment using Jira or Azure DevOps.
• A strong communicator with a genuine sense of ownership, able to produce clean, maintainable code and explain technical concepts clearly to stakeholders.
