Job summary

GEA Germany GmbH in Naas, Ireland is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to lead design, implementation and commissioning of automation solutions for food, beverage and pharmaceutical sectors. You will drive technical leadership across the project lifecycle, from concept development to FAT/SAT and handover, while promoting standardisation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Degree in Automation, Electrical, Electronic or Control Engineering.
5–10 years’ experience delivering automation solutions in a process engineering environment.
Strong PLC programming experience; Siemens TIA Portal and Rockwell Studio 5000 preferred.
Experience with SCADA and HMI platforms including WinCC, Ignition, AVEVA/Wonderware and FactoryTalk.
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Clear written and spoken English; full driving licence; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

Lead design, implementation and commissioning of automation solutions across process manufacturing.
Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle from concept to handover.
Mentor Automation Engineers and Graduate Engineers; drive standardisation and digitalisation.
