Job summary

GEA is seeking an experienced Senior Automation Engineer to lead design, implementation and commissioning of automation solutions for food, beverage and pharmaceutical sectors. The role covers concept through site commissioning, with emphasis on technical leadership, standards adherence and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will mentor engineers, oversee FAT/SAT, and ensure customer satisfaction while delivering projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Degree in Automation, Electrical, Electronic or Control Engineering.
• Minimum 5-10 years’ experience delivering automation solutions in a process environment.
• Strong PLC programming experience with Siemens/TIA Portal and Rockwell Studio 5000.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation design, development, testing and commissioning across projects.
• Provide technical leadership and ensure compliance with standards and safety requirements.
• Support sales with technical clarifications and solution development.
• Oversee FAT/SAT, site commissioning and handover to operations.
