Job summary

embecta is expanding its engineering team to support a high-volume, fully automated manufacturing environment. The Senior Automation Engineer will troubleshoot, maintain, and drive continuous improvement of production equipment and processes.

The role requires strong technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on experience with PLCs, SCADA/HMI, vision systems, and controller networks. Equal opportunity employer committed to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years' experience in equipment automation or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Allen Bradley / Rockwell products and coding from specifications.
• Experience with Cognex Vision systems and Control networks (ControlNet/DeviceNet/Ethernet).
• Proficient in motion control programming and troubleshooting (Allen Bradley/Emerson).
• Experience with SCADA/HMI systems (Allen Bradley/Schneider).

Responsibilities

• Manage automation projects plant-wide with vendors for new equipment.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma and PM techniques.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Operations, Validation, Development & Quality.
• Support change control and software revision control.
• Assist Validation with process validation and equipment upgrades.
• Ensure risk assessments and safety improvements.
• Aid in budget preparation.
• Support training of Engineering Technicians.
• Other duties as needed.
