Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Vision Care in Limerick is recruiting a Staff Automation Engineer to develop and support high-speed automated machines across PLC, SCADA, and vision systems. The role requires coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver compliant automation solutions in a highly regulated production environment.

You will design and validate control software, lead engineering goals, and ensure documentation aligns with Medical Device standards while improving quality and throughput.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, install, validate and support automation control systems in a highly automated manufacturing plant.
• Provide secure scalable and sustainable automation solutions for safety, quality or throughput improvements.
• Design, install and validate automated solutions for new or retrofit equipment.
• Lead cross-functional project teams and provide SME technical support.
• Ensure conformance to site quality and health and safety standards.
