Job summary

PE Global Recruitment is seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist for a leading architectural and engineering consultancy in Cork. The role focuses on technical design, coordination, and delivery of complex pharma, life sciences, and industrial projects.

The successful candidate will lead architectural packages, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with Irish Building Regulations. Strong Revit skills and mentoring experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or qualification in Architectural Technology or a related discipline.
• Significant professional experience as an Architectural Technologist, ideally at senior level.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
• Excellent technical detailing and construction documentation skills.
• Strong understanding of Irish Building Regulations and construction methodologies.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary design teams.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and development of architectural packages for pharmaceutical, life sciences and industrial projects.
• Produce and coordinate detailed architectural drawings, technical specifications and construction documentation using Autodesk Revit.
• Coordinate closely with architects, structural engineers and MEP engineers for effective multidisciplinary alignment.
• Develop detailed construction drawings and building solutions in line with project requirements.
• Ensure designs comply with Irish Building Regulations, standards and client specifications.
• Coordinate architectural models and drawings within a BIM environment.
• Review drawings to maintain high quality and accuracy.
• Attend design coordination meetings with clients, contractors and stakeholders.
• Provide technical support during construction, resolving design and coordination issues.
• Mentor and support junior Architectural Technologists within the practice.
• Assist with preparation and coordination of tender and construction packages.
• Contribute to on-time project delivery within budgets and programmes.

PE Global Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist to join a leading, established architectural and engineering consultancy based in Cork.

Our client has an excellent reputation for delivering complex, high-value projects across the Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, Industrial and Commercial sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Architectural Technologist with a strong technical background, advanced Revit capabilities and previous experience working on pharmaceutical projects.

The successful candidate will join a highly experienced multidisciplinary team, taking a senior role in the technical design, coordination and delivery of complex projects from initial design development through to construction and completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and development of architectural packages for pharmaceutical, life sciences and industrial projects.
• Produce and coordinate detailed architectural drawings, technical specifications and construction documentation using Autodesk Revit.
• Work closely with architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers and other design professionals to ensure effective multidisciplinary coordination.
• Develop detailed construction drawings, building details and technical solutions in accordance with project requirements.
• Ensure designs comply with Irish Building Regulations, relevant industry standards and client specifications.
• Coordinate architectural models and drawings within a BIM environment.
• Review technical drawings and documentation to maintain high standards of quality and accuracy.
• Attend design coordination meetings with clients, contractors and project stakeholders.
• Provide technical support throughout the construction phase, resolving design and coordination issues as required.
• Mentor and support junior Architectural Technologists within the practice.
• Assist with the preparation and coordination of tender and construction packages.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of projects within agreed programmes and budgets.

Requirements

• Degree or qualification in Architectural Technology or a related discipline.
• Significant professional experience working as an Architectural Technologist, ideally at senior level.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit – essential.
• Excellent technical detailing and construction documentation skills.
• Strong understanding of Irish Building Regulations and construction methodologies.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary design teams.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage technical packages independently and coordinate with multiple project stakeholders.
• Experience working on large-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, cleanrooms, laboratories or other technically complex industrial developments.
• Knowledge of BIM standards and collaborative project delivery.
• Experience coordinating architectural design with complex MEP installations.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical industry design requirements and GMP environments.
• Previous experience mentoring junior members of a design team.
