Job summary

Dun & Bradstreet Ireland is hiring an Architect, Core Platforms to lead the evolution of our core data platforms. You will guide senior engineers, shape architecture, and ensure designs deliver value with secure, resilient, and cost-effective solutions.

You will partner with engineering, product, data and SRE teams to translate platform needs into working software, while driving modernization and operational excellence across high-volume data workloads.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering with distributed data-intensive systems.
• Proven hands-on coding in Java, Python or Scala with production-ready delivery.
• Strong architecture across cloud-native services, data quality and observability.

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural leadership for Core platforms and scalable designs for high-volume workloads.
• Write and review production-quality code and drive architecture-to-delivery alignment.
• Define strategy and roadmaps for platform modernization with measurable outcomes.
• Identify risks early and drive standards, tooling and practices for maintainability.
• Mentor engineers and foster shared ownership and design thinking.
