Job summary

MongoDB is seeking an experienced Forward Deployed Engineer to join our newly formed team in Dublin for a hybrid role. You will work with Enterprise clients on application modernization, evaluating and deploying tooling across project teams, and contributing to the product roadmap.

The role involves on-site presence with customers in Europe and travel as needed. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in field engineering or professional services, strong Java or C#, and extensive relational DB

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a field engineer, professional services consultant, or full stack developer with enterprise clients.
• Proficiency in Java or C#, and familiarity with database access patterns and frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise-scale architectures, software deployment and operations.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL/stored procedures (Oracle, MS SQL Server, Sybase, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with MongoDB and JSON document models is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem solving and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.
• Willingness to adopt and bring AI tools to solve customer problems.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, build, and apply tools in modernization projects.
• Facilitate tooling deployment across project teams and identify opportunities.
• Contribute to product roadmap feedback to R&D teams.
• Execute POCs and develop tools for customer success, often on client sites.
• Maintain broad technical understanding of MongoDB product line and related technologies.
• Collaborate with delivery teams, project managers, and account teams.
• Assist sales teams in evaluating opportunities with prospects and customers.
