Job summary

CSI GLOBAL LTD is seeking a Senior Android Payments Developer to lead the development of card acceptance apps on POS terminals and drive legacy modernization. You will design robust Android software for terminals (including PAX devices), collaborate with QA, product and programme teams, and push payment certification with major card schemes.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Android development experience (Java/Kotlin).
• Experience with POS device SDKs and hardware integration.
• Familiarity with payment terminal flows and EMV/PCI related considerations.
• Experience with payment scheme certification processes (Visa/Mastercard/Amex).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Android applications for POS terminals with clean, maintainable Java/Kotlin code.
• Integrate with POS hardware including drivers and SDKs for readers, PIN pads, NFC, EMV, and printers.
• Handle payment flows: authorisation, settlement, reversal and offline mode; ensure EMV and contactless correctness.
• Support payment certification by preparing artefacts and coordinating with schemes and acquirers.
• Contribute to legacy transformation by refactoring legacy code to modern architectures.
• Ensure security and compliance with PCI PTS and HSM considerations.
• Profile and optimise performance, memory usage and startup times with telemetry.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines for terminal images and app packages with automated tests.
• Lead defect resolution and post-release reviews; mentor peers on code quality.
