Job summary

European Tech Recruit is seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineer to join the Sensors Technologies group for Android and Wear OS devices, prototypes, and customer deployments. You will work across Android, Java/Kotlin, C++, and Python; integrate with backend services, and contribute to end-to-end data pipelines while collaborating with global teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years Android app development with Android SDK.
• Strong OO skills in Java or Kotlin with production-grade software.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python for system tools.
• Experience near the Android platform with vendor components (HALs).
• Experience with Linux or system-level Android concepts.
• Fluent English, good written and verbal communication.
• Git and GitHub proficiency.
• Detail-oriented, able to work with multiple stakeholders in a global team.

Responsibilities

• Develop enterprise Android apps distributed via internal stores.
• Integrate apps with backend services such as Azure and SharePoint.
• Design cross-platform desktop tools (Windows and Linux) interacting with Android.
• Develop Java-based software components for production systems.
• Work across devices spanning mobile, wearables, and XR.
• Debug and isolate issues across app and platform layers with prototype hardware.
• Collaborate with global teams to support sensor algorithms and features.
• Contribute to end-to-end data processing pipelines and production monitoring.
