Job summary

Bloomberg L.P. in Dublin is seeking an experienced Senior Android Engineer to join our Mobile Professional group.

You will build native Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, and contribute to a diverse, cross-functional team working across UI, backend services, and platform infrastructure. You will collaborate with UX, QA and Product to deliver robust, scalable mobile experiences for financial professionals on the go, addressing complex workflows and real-time updates while

Qualifications

Expertise in native Android development with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
Experience with modern Android architectures and UI systems
Strong fundamentals in concurrency, algorithms and data structures
Designs maintainable, modular and testable software
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or similar field of study, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

Build high-quality native Android apps using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
Work across a highly-diverse technology stack around the Android platform and server-side components (Python, C++)
Collaborate with UX, QA and Product to deliver intuitive mobile experiences for complex workflows
Own challenging engineering problems related to scale, reliability and real-time systems
Partner with Product and UX teams to shape architecture and platform direction
