Job summary

Ding, a Dublin-based fintech leader, is hiring an Engineering Team Lead (Android). You will lead a hands-on Android team, shaping architecture, delivering features across Android, iOS, Web, and Backend collaborations.

Expect ownership of code quality, delivery velocity, and a focus on scalable, secure mobile experiences. You will write production Kotlin, review code, manage the CI/CD pipeline, and mentor engineers while driving testing and performance improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Android Lead or Engineering Management or equivalent senior Android leadership.
• Kotlin mastery with coroutines, flows and modern patterns.
• Proven experience with Jetpack Compose and Compose-based UI.
• Strong CI/CD experience via GitHub Actions and automated release pipelines.
• Experience reducing technical debt and mentoring engineers.
• Experience with unit and end-to-end testing on Android.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Android engineering team, define architecture standards and drive delivery on the Android roadmap.
• Write production Kotlin and build UI with Jetpack Compose, while guiding reviews.
• Own and evolve the CI/CD pipeline in GitHub Actions, from builds to releases.
• Promote robust testing culture: unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Manage technical debt and advocate for long-term maintainability.
• Coach engineers across levels, set expectations, and support career growth.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and Backend to ship features end-to-end.
• Monitor app performance, crash rates, startup time, and Play Store quality.
