Job summary

Bloomberg L.P. is seeking an experienced Senior iOS Engineer for its Mobile Professional group in Dublin. You’ll join an established team with UX, QA, and Product partners to deliver high-quality native iOS apps built in Swift and to work across a broad iOS-centric stack.

The role offers opportunities for both technical specialists and leadership tracks in a fast-paced financial technology environment. You will contribute to the mobile experience used daily by financial professionals,

Qualifications

• Strong experience developing native iOS applications using Swift.
• Experience building modern iOS architectures and UI systems.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals including concurrency, algorithms and data structures.
• Experience designing maintainable, modular and testable software.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• A pragmatic and thoughtful approach to solving complex engineering problems.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or similar field of study, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Become part of an established team containing a diverse mix of engineers, alongside dedicated representatives from UX, QA and Product.
• Build high-quality native iOS applications using Swift.
• Work across a highly-diverse technology stack around the iOS platform.
• Be responsible for the app's server-side infrastructure (Python, C++) and tools.
• Collaborate closely with other technology teams to align technical direction and solve shared engineering challenges.
• Partner with Product and UX teams to deliver intuitive mobile experiences for complex workflows.
• Help foster a culture of sustained, high-quality delivery through collaboration, testing and continuous improvement.
• Take ownership of challenging engineering problems related to scale, reliability and real-time systems.
