Job summary

Bloomberg in Dublin seeks an experienced Android software engineer to join our Mobile Professional group. You will build high-quality native Android apps using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose and work across a diverse Android stack while shaping the app's server-side components (Python, C++) as they evolve.

You'll partner with Product and UX teams to deliver intuitive mobile experiences, take ownership of scaling and reliability challenges, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and

Qualifications

• Experience developing native Android apps with Kotlin.
• Experience with Android architectures and UI systems.
• Strong fundamentals in concurrency, algorithms and data structures.
• Design maintainable, modular and testable software.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Degree in CS/Engineering/Math or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Build high-quality native Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Work across a diverse Android tech stack and collaborate with UX, QA and Product.
• Be responsible for server-side infrastructure components in Python and C++.
• Partner with Product and UX teams to deliver intuitive mobile experiences.
• Drive high-quality delivery through testing, collaboration and continuous improvement.
