Job summary

FRS Recruitment is partnering with a leading client to hire a Senior Android Developer (Java/Kotlin) for a day-rate contract in Dublin or North Tipperary/Limerick. This onsite role focuses on designing and building secure, high-performance Android applications for critical business operations.

You will design, develop and maintain Android apps, contribute to architecture and performance, modernise legacy code, and implement automated testing with CI/CD practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial Android development experience with Java and Kotlin.
• Experience with modern Android architectures, Android Studio, Gradle and Git.
• Knowledge of secure software development and testing practices.
• CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
• Contribute to architecture, scalability, security and performance improvements.
• Modernise legacy Android codebases into maintainable, reusable solutions.
• Implement automated testing and support CI/CD practices.
