Job summary

Canada Life Reinsurance (CL Re) is seeking a senior ALM leader to build and run a centralised ALM and Balance Sheet Management function in Dublin. You will lead a high‑performing team, own end-to-end ALM reporting, and partner with Asset Strategy and Balance Sheet Optimisation to drive value.

This role oversees asset data, cash flow projections, and reporting for IFRS, LICAT, Solvency II, and liquidity, with interaction across Great-West Lifeco affiliates.

Qualifications

• 10+ years post‑qualification actuarial experience.
• Experience in data management and governance for investment and ALM data.
• Experience in IFRS, LICAT, Solvency II, ALM and liquidity reporting.
• Strong understanding of investment and ALM risks.
• Knowledge of asset–liability management principles incl. matching & LDI.
• Knowledge of international reinsurance and investment markets.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the centralised ALM and Balance Sheet Reporting team.
• Maintain end-to-end understanding of CLRe assets, liabilities and ALM exposures.
• Produce asset and ALM reporting for governance and regulatory needs.
• Coordinate with Asset Strategy and Balance Sheet Optimisation to drive value.
• Present ALM materials to boards and committees as required.
• Engage with Great-West centres to ensure methodological consistency.
