Job summary

ALM Centre of Excellence CLG seeks an experienced ALM Advisor to support participating Credit Unions by implementing a standardised ALM Framework and providing expert guidance. You will engage CFOs and finance teams to embed governance, risk management and robust budgeting practices across a network of credit unions.

The role focuses on training, QA of outputs, benchmarking ALM risks and evolving methodologies, including liquidity stress testing and pricing implications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in the Finance Function of a Credit Union or other financial institution with exposure to liquidity risk management, regulatory reporting, management reporting preferred.
• Practical experience of ALM techniques or working in an ALM function of a large financial institution is an advantage.
• Alternatively, a qualified accountant with more than 3 years post qualification experience with advisory/consulting to financial institutions in ALM.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and coaching in the implementation of the ALM Framework to participating Credit Unions on an ongoing basis.
• Provide ongoing quality assurance review over outputs of the ALM methodology toolkit to ensure correctness and support governance decisions.
• Provide benchmarking information on ALM related risks and insights on comparative outcomes.
• Contribute to evolving the ALM Framework through toolkit enhancements and methodologies.
• Contribute to development of stress testing methodologies across liquidity, capital and interest rate risk.
