Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to build and scale backend infrastructure powering AI-driven developer tools. Take ownership of production services, ensure reliability, security, and observability, and work with platform, security, and infrastructure teams in a distributed, async environment.

You will design scalable architectures, manage AI agent traffic, and contribute to tooling for infra serving AI agents and MCP integrations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building, deploying, and operating production backend services.
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript or Go with knowledge of the other language.
• Proven API design experience including versioning and error handling.
• Solid understanding of OAuth/OIDC/JWT and API authorization.
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational databases.
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker, containerized deployments, and IaC.
• Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems using metrics, logs, and traces.
• Strong written and verbal communication in a global, asynchronous environment.
• Ownership mindset and ability to navigate ambiguity in fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, operate, and scale production backend services for AI-powered tooling.
• Own service architecture and infrastructure decisions for reliability and scalability.
• Define SLOs, monitor error budgets, and improve incidents with SREs.
• Participate in on-call rotations, investigate incidents, and prepare runbooks.
• Develop authentication/authorization for AI agents and machine clients.
• Establish comprehensive observability with metrics, tracing, logging, dashboards, and alerts.
• Collaborate with Platform, SRE, Auth, Billing, and Edge Functions teams to improve infra and processes.
• Contribute to tooling for AI infrastructure, maintaining reliability and performance.
