Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Data Platform Engineer (Mid-level) based in Ireland to transform and scale a data and ML platform. You will build deployment pipelines, IaC modules, and reusable tooling to enable self-service data services, while collaborating with data, backend, and infrastructure teams.

You'll lead the roadmap for shared platform tooling within six months and work in an AI-enabled environment that emphasizes accountability, reasoning, and quality of code.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years professional software/data/platform/infrastructure experience.
• Practical Python and SQL skills.
• Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code.
• Ability to navigate and explain unfamiliar codebases.
• Familiarity with containers and cloud concepts (AWS).
• Cross-functional collaboration across data, backend, and infra teams.
• Comfort using AI coding assistants and assessing generated code.

• Improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code modules.
• Apply data governance standards for new data services.
• Build and maintain reusable platform tooling and templates.
• Create reusable modules to simplify pipeline creation.
• Improve technical documentation and runbooks.
• Own data access workflows and access-request processes.
• Own platform tooling roadmap and direction.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines to improve platform reliability.
• Incorporate AI-assisted development with critical code review.
