Job summary

Storyful, part of News Corp, is hiring a Senior QA Automation Engineer to build AI-powered automation and testing frameworks. You will work with engineers, data scientists, and SREs to embed quality into the development lifecycle and accelerate delivery with AI-assisted validation.

You will design evaluation pipelines for AI features, ensure reliability, and reduce release risk through robust automation and observability practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior QA Automation Engineer / SDET in production environments.
• Hands-on with Playwright (or equivalent) using TypeScript.
• Experience applying AI and LLM tooling to testing and evaluation.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and release readiness.
• Deep debugging and observability across distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI-augmented automation systems.
• Build scalable automation frameworks across web UI, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Use AI coding agents to generate, refactor, and maintain test suites at scale.
• Translate natural-language acceptance criteria into executable tests.
• Define reusable testing patterns and reduce flakiness with AI-assisted diagnostics.
• Embed quality into CI/CD and delivery pipelines.
