Bord Bia in Dublin seeks a Senior Agri-Food Communications Executive for a 12-month maternity cover. The role leads the farmer communications strategy, engaging with national and international media to raise awareness of Ireland’s agri-food story.

Reports to the Head of Communications and sits in the Farmer Engagement team. The ideal candidate has a degree in a relevant field and at least 3 years in agri-food communications or journalism, with strong writing and project-management skills.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification in relevant discipline (e.g. Agriculture, Journalism, Economics).
• Membership of relevant professional bodies (e.g. Agricultural Science Association, NUJ, Guild of Agricultural Journalists).
• 3 years’ experience in agri-food communications and/or journalism.

Responsabilités

• Develop and deliver Bord Bia’s farmer communications strategy.
• Engage with agri-media partners to create campaigns and content.
• Manage Bord Bia’s farmer communications budget and resources.
• Coordinate with overseas offices and internal sector specialists.
• Provide media advice and act as press office contact for agri-media.
