Bord Bia in Dublin is seeking an EU Programme Executive on a full-time 18-month fixed term contract. You will manage EU co-funded campaigns, notably the Dairy Ingredients program, coordinating content, assets and events, while liaising with stakeholders and meeting EU reporting requirements.

The role involves travel to Asia, collaboration with internal teams, and contributing to the One Bord Bia planning process. A background in marketing and market analysis is essential.

Grade: 5

The salary scale for this role is: 53,566 to €73,492

New Entrants to the Public Sector commence on the first point of the Scale

Purpose:

To bring Ireland’s outstanding food, drink and horticulture to the world, thus enabling growth and sustainability of producers.

In this role, to manage aspects of the implementation of EU Co-Funded Information & Promotion Campaigns, with a particular focus on the EU Dairy Ingredients campaign in China, Singapore and Vietnam. The role involves travel to Asia.

EU Co-Funded Campaigns Purpose: To create scale of investment for highly targeted B2B and B2C campaigns to defend our positioning in established markets and to prepare the ground in new high-potential growth markets.

What you'll do:

1. As an integral member of the broader Marketing Team, develop a collaborative relationship with the implementing body, evaluation agency and internal sectors team in delivering a world-class EU Dairy Ingredients promotion campaign.

2. Co-ordinate and assist with creative content development, implementation and evaluation for all promotional work packages, including campaign launch, digital assets, PR, events, trade shows and inward study visits.

3. Validate all marketing assets, ensuring they are in line with the campaign strategy, industry needs and EU Regulation.

4. Champion and ensure the digitisation, accessibility and archiving of all campaign collateral into central repository systems.

5. Develop and circulate periodic updates on the schedule of campaign events and initiatives with internal and external stakeholders, in liaison with the EU Programme Specialist.

6. Manage and develop a programme of inward study visits; assist in the recruitment and co-ordination of technical expert speakers for in-market seminars; and undertake travel to Asia as required to support campaign delivery.

7. Assist in the annual self-audit process, including compiling and submitting technical reports to the EU Commission ahead of set deadlines.

8. Assist in developing pipeline applications for future EU promotions.

9. Actively contribute to EU co-funding strategy execution and the One Bord Bia annual planning process, with opportunities to support other EU co-funded campaigns as required.

About you:

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Capabilities:

Qualifications:

• Third-level qualification in business development, marketing or a related field is desirable.

Knowledge:

• Experience researching markets and analysing and interpreting information.
• Experience delivering successful, metric-driven B2B and B2C promotions.
• Experience building credible professional relationships with industry, business contacts and senior executives.
• Experience in a marketing role is desirable.
• Confidence and experience in public speaking, including presenting to professional and industry audiences, is desirable

Skills:

• The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the EU and Irish food and horticultural sectors.
• Digital-first mindset and comfort working in an agile culture focused on continuous improvement.
• Strong attention to detail in budget management and report writing.
• Excellent organisational and time management ability.
• Strong aptitude for systems and processes.
• Strong appreciation of software applications, including Salesforce, Power BI and the Microsoft suite.
• Strong appreciation of the dairy ingredients sector and knowledge of Asian business culture are desirable.
