Job summary

Ocorian is seeking a Fund Administrator to support day-to-day delivery for a diverse portfolio of fund clients. You will work closely with the Client Services Manager and Fund Accounting teams in a hands-on, hybrid role that emphasises strong client relationships and timely, accurate processing of transactions.

You will manage fund cash flows, assist with audits and contribute to projects, developing expertise in a fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality client service.

Qualifications

  • Degree-qualified or equivalent, ideally in Administration, Law, Management or related discipline.
  • Professional qualification or working towards AAT, CGI/ICSA, ACCA or similar financial services certification.
  • Previous experience in fund administration or financial services is advantageous.
  • Strong numerical, organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills with the confidence to communicate with clients and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive, detail-focused approach with commitment to high standard of client service.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with clients, colleagues and advisers, acting as a reliable point of contact and ensuring clear, timely communication.
  • Collaborate with the Fund Accounting team to reflect transactions accurately and meet deliverables.
  • Support management of fund cash flows, including processing payments and investment transactions within deadlines.
  • Coordinate approval and payment of invoices, fees and expenses per procedures.
  • Ensure each structure operates in line with governing documents and contracts.
  • Monitor compliance with investment guidelines and regulatory requirements, escalating concerns as needed.
  • Arrange FX transactions and other banking activities while maintaining sound cash management.
  • Maintain accurate transaction and entity records, ensuring data is complete and accessible.
  • Understand each client structure, identify risks, resolve issues and deliver a seamless experience.
  • Contribute to team projects and process improvements to support growth of Ocorian and clients.

Job description

Purpose of the job

Working closely with the Client Services Manager, Fund Accountants and Fund Accounting Managers, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day delivery of services to a diverse portfolio of fund clients. This is a hands-on role where you'll build strong client relationships, coordinate critical operational activities and help ensure a seamless client experience. From managing bank accounts and processing transactions to supporting audits and contributing to projects, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing your expertise within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Build strong relationships with clients, colleagues and professional advisers, acting as a reliable point of contact and ensuring communication is clear, timely and professional.
  • Work closely with the Fund Accounting team to ensure transactions are accurately reflected in the accounting records and that client deliverables are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Support the management of fund cash flows, including processing payments and investment-related transactions within agreed deadlines.
  • Coordinate the approval and payment of invoices, fees and expenses, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and in line with established procedures.
  • Help ensure that each structure is operated in accordance with its governing documents, service agreements and internal policies.
  • Monitor compliance with investment guidelines and ongoing statutory and regulatory requirements, escalating any concerns where appropriate.
  • Arrange foreign exchange transactions and other banking activities as required, while ensuring sound cash management practices are maintained.
  • Maintain accurate transaction and entity records, ensuring information is complete, up to date and readily accessible.
  • Take the time to understand each client structure, helping to identify risks, resolve issues and deliver a seamless client experience.
  • Contribute to team projects, process improvements and other initiatives that support the continued growth and success of Ocorian and its clients.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Degree qualified or equivalent, ideally in Administration, Law, Management or a related discipline.
  • Professionally qualified or working towards a qualification such as Accounting Technician Course (AAT), CGI/ICSA, ACCA or another relevant financial services certification.
  • Previous experience within fund administration or financial services would be an advantage.
