Job summary

Albany Beck in Dublin is seeking an experienced Fund Accounting Supervisor to join our consulting team, supporting a leading global investment services organisation within its Fund Accounting function. You will oversee NAV calculations, review work by Fund Accountants, and ensure internal controls, deadlines and service standards are met, while mentoring junior team members.

Experience in Private Equity/Private Credit/Real Estate fund accounting is desirable; Hedge Fund experience also

Qualifications

• Strong Fund Accounting experience within investment management, asset servicing or fund administration.
• Prev. experience at Supervisor or Senior Fund Accountant level.
• End-to-end NAV production and review lifecycle knowledge.
• Experience reviewing NAVs and performing QA checks on colleagues' work.
• Experience with cash reconciliations, position reconciliations, income accruals and NAV controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily, weekly and monthly NAV calculations before final sign-off.
• Review Fund Accountant work for accuracy and adherence to internal controls.
• Validate cash, position reconciliations, pricing data and income accruals.
• Investigate NAV exceptions and discrepancies; escalate as needed.
• Support the training and development of junior team members.
• Ensure deadlines are met and governance controls are followed.
• Liaise with stakeholders to resolve fund accounting issues.
• Support financial reporting and fund accounting deliverables.
• Identify control weaknesses and opportunities for process improvements.
• Contribute to a robust governance and control environment.

Client Deployment Role Description

Albany Beck is seeking experienced Fund Accounting Supervisors to join our consulting team in Dublin, supporting a leading global investment services organisation within its Fund Accounting function.

Due to continued business growth and increased workload across several teams, we are looking for experienced professionals who can provide oversight across the NAV review process, support Fund Accountants within the team and ensure that key controls, deadlines and service standards are consistently met.

The successful candidate will have strong end-to-end Fund Accounting experience, with particular expertise in NAV review, exception management, controls and quality assurance. They will act as an escalation point for more complex accounting issues and support the day-to-day management and development of junior team members.

Experience within Private Equity, Private Credit or Real Estate fund accounting is particularly desirable, although candidates with relevant Hedge Fund experience will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and review of daily, weekly and monthly NAV calculations prior to final sign-off.
• Review work completed by Fund Accountants and ensure accuracy, completeness and adherence to internal controls.
• Review and validate cash reconciliations, position reconciliations, pricing data, income accruals and other NAV components.
• Investigate and resolve complex NAV exceptions, breaks and accounting discrepancies.
• Act as an escalation point for Fund Accountants and support the resolution of technical or operational queries.
• Ensure all Fund Accounting controls, checklists and review procedures are completed within agreed deadlines.
• Monitor workloads and support the allocation and prioritisation of tasks across the team.
• Support the training, coaching and development of Fund Accountants and more junior team members.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and other operational teams to resolve fund accounting issues and queries.
• Support the preparation and review of financial reporting and wider fund accounting deliverables.
• Identify control weaknesses, operational risks and opportunities for process improvement.
• Contribute to maintaining a robust governance and control environment.
• Support management with reporting, escalations and ongoing service delivery.
• Ensure client and internal deadlines are consistently achieved within a fast-paced NAV environment.

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong Fund Accounting experience within investment management, asset servicing or fund administration.
• Previous experience operating at Supervisor, Senior Fund Accountant or equivalent level.
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end NAV production and review lifecycle.
• Demonstrable experience reviewing NAVs and performing quality assurance checks on work completed by other Fund Accountants.
• Hands-on experience across:

  • Pricing and valuation reviews
  • NAV controls
  • Exception and break management
• Experience managing or supporting more complex fund accounting issues and escalations.
• Experience working within established governance, risk and control frameworks.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to support, coach and provide guidance to junior team members.
• Comfortable working in a high-volume, deadline-driven Fund Accounting environment.
• Fund Accounting experience within Private Markets, particularly:
  • Private Equity
  • Private Credit
  • Hedge Fund accounting experience will also be considered.
• Experience using Investran and/or Geneva fund accounting systems.
• Previous experience within a large global asset servicing or fund administration organisation.
• Experience supervising or mentoring Fund Accountants.
• Experience contributing to process improvements, control enhancements or operational efficiency initiatives.
