Job summary

PGIM Ireland is seeking an Actuarial Associate in Letterkenny, offering hybrid work with two days on site weekly. You will join a fast-paced pricing team focusing on Longevity Reinsurance, handling pricing execution, assumptions, and data-driven projections for large pension risk transfer deals.

The role emphasizes collaboration with international partners, model maintenance, and continuous learning in actuarial methods and programming.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or other quantitative field.
• Progress towards the Associate of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries designation.
• Ideally around two years’ prior actuarial work experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel.
• Exposure to or willingness to learn programming languages such as SQL and Python.

Responsibilities

• Pricing & product development for Longevity Reinsurance deals, including assumptions and projections.
• Collaborate with U.S. and Ireland teams and external clients to support pricing.
• Analyze pension plan data to determine mortality and marital assumptions.
• Update pricing/underwriting parameters every 6 months and maintain models.
