Job summary

Hollister Incorporated in Ballina, Ireland seeks an experienced senior accountant to lead day-to-day accounting and statutory compliance for multiple entities. You will drive timely close, balance sheet integrity, and audit readiness while partnering with finance leaders to improve controls and cash flow management.

You will oversee a team, coordinate across functions, and contribute to OPEX planning, variance analysis, and regulatory reporting, ensuring high standards of accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 8-12 years of related experience.
• Professional accounting qualification/certification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CPA) and/or MBA/Master’s in Accounting/Finance.
• Experience in an international, shared services/center of excellence environment; audit experience.
• ERP experience, preferably SAP; familiarity with close tools and process documentation.
• Experience with US GAAP and/or IFRS and local GAAP requirements.
• Business-level English proficiency; leadership experience is a plus.
• Progressive experience in general accounting including month-end/year-end close, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Experience leading, supervising, or coordinating the work of others.
• Proficiency with Excel and robust documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach an accounting team; allocate work, set priorities, provide feedback.
• Manage month-end and year-end close activities; prepare journal entries and accruals.
• Oversee general ledger and sub-ledgers; manage AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, intercompany, cash.
• Ensure reconciliations, analyses, and timely corrective actions.
• Coordinate statutory reporting and tax compliance with internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare close status, key metrics, and reporting for Finance leadership.
• Support internal and external audits and remediation actions.
• Collaborate with FP&A on OPEX planning and narratives.
• Evaluate internal controls and drive process improvements.
• Ensure adherence to policies and ethical practices.
