Job summary

Force Recruitment and Outsourcing has been retained to appoint a Senior Accountant/Manager for a well-established practice in Claremorris, Co Mayo. The role focuses on managing daily office operations, client assignments, and developing long-term client relationships while contributing to business growth.

The successful candidate will have 7+ years post-qualification experience, strong leadership, and proven ability to manage budgets and Irish taxation across personal and corporate returns.

Senior Accountant / Manager – Claremorris, Co. Mayo

Our client is a well-established professional services organisation with a strong local presence and a nationwide network. They provide a wide range of professional services to businesses, farmers, families and individuals and are now looking to appoint a Senior Accountant / Manager to join their team in Claremorris, Co. Mayo.

This is a senior position offering the opportunity to manage the day-to-day operations of the office, oversee client assignments, develop client relationships and support the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the office, including scheduling client assignments and reporting to the Regional Manager.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff.
• Approve and manage office budgets.
• Manage a portfolio of clients and develop strong, long-term client relationships.
• Support the strategic growth of the organisation.
• Prepare Personal and Corporate Tax returns for farmers, businesses and companies.
• Complete consultancy assignments.
• Deliver client assignments in a timely and professional manner.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years' post-qualification experience in practice.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to supervise and mentor junior staff.
• A motivated self-starter with ambition to progress their career.
• Previous experience managing office budgets.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Experience across all aspects of Irish taxation.
