Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Ideally 3–4 years’ post-qualification experience in an Irish accountancy practice.
• Strong experience preparing financial statements for audit-exempt companies and sole traders.
• Good knowledge of Irish corporation tax and income tax compliance.
• Experience managing assignments and dealing directly with owner-managed business clients.
• Ability to supervise and support junior staff.
• Strong IT skills with Excel and use of accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review annual financial statements for audit-exempt companies, sole traders and owner-managed businesses.
• Prepare and review corporation tax and income tax computations and returns.
• Manage client assignments from receipt of information through to completion.
• Liaise directly with clients to obtain information, resolve queries and progress work.
• Identify accounting, taxation and commercial issues arising during assignments.
• Assist Senior Managers with the management of client portfolios and filing deadlines.
• Supervise and support trainee and part-qualified accountants.
• Ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently and within budgets and deadlines.
• Contribute to improving and standardising the firm’s accounting and tax processes.
• Assist with audit assignments where required.

Qualified Accountant – Accounting and Tax

We are currently hiring for a leading accountancy firm based in Kildare. They offer various financial services such as accounts, payroll management, audits and business advisory so if you are an accountant eager for diversity and multiplicity this is the role for you.

Our client is one of the largest and most successful accountancy and business advisory practices in County Kildare. With a professional team of over 20 people, they offer the specialized expertise usually reserved for "Big 4" firms but with the personal, relationship-driven culture of a local practice. Due to continued growth in their client base, they are seeking a Qualified Senior Accountant to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review annual financial statements for audit-exempt companies, sole traders and owner-managed businesses.
• Prepare and review corporation tax and income tax computations and returns.
• Manage client assignments from receipt of information through to completion.

The ideal candidate will have:

• ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Ideally three to four years’ post-qualification experience in an Irish accountancy practice.
• Strong experience preparing financial statements for audit-exempt companies and sole traders.
• Good knowledge of Irish corporation tax and income tax compliance.
• Experience managing assignments and dealing directly with owner-managed business clients.
• The ability to supervise and support junior staff.
• Strong organisational, communication and client-service skills.
• Strong IT skills, including a high level of competence in Excel, and the ability to use accounting and practice management software effectively.
• A practical, commercially aware and solutions focused approach.
• Good audit experience would be a distinct advantage but is not essential.
