Job summary

Morgan McKinley is recruiting a Senior International Accountant for a leading technology client in Ireland. The role focuses on month-end reporting, international accounting, and a planned SAP transition with close collaboration across Finance, Tax and Treasury.

The position is hybrid in South Dublin with a competitive salary and a 6-month contract viewed for extension.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with post-qualification experience.
• Experience with SAP and NetSuite is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS/local GAAP conversions.

Responsibilities

• Support transition to SAP including UAT, data migration and regression testing.
• Manage month-end close, journals, reconciliations, and analyses.
• Ensure SAP aligns with existing systems and reporting.
• Collaborate with Finance, Tax and Treasury on international accounting.
• Track milestones and support ad hoc projects.

Job description

Our client, a leading global technology company are seeking a Senior International Accountant to join their established finance team, initially on a 6-month contract (view for extension).

Reporting to the International Controller, you will play a key role in month-end reporting, international accounting, and a planned transition to SAP, working closely with stakeholders across Finance, Tax and Treasury.

With offices in South Dublin, they are operating with a hybrid working model and would be offering a competitive salary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the transition to SAP, including UAT, data migration and regression testing.
• Manage month-end close activities, including journals, reconciliations, and analytical reviews.
• Ensure accurate reporting and alignment between SAP and existing systems.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on international accounting and compliance matters.
• Track project milestones, report on deliverables and support ad hoc projects.

Requirements:

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent accounting qualification.
• 5+ years' relevant post-qualification experience.
• Prior experience of using SAP and NetSuite (desirable)
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and local statutory accounting, including US GAAP to IFRS/local GAAP conversions.
• Advanced Excel, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
