Job summary

Russell Tobin is seeking an Accountant III in Dublin, Ireland, offering hybrid work (onsite 2-3 days per week) within a globally recognised tech environment. The role focuses on close activities, financial reporting support, and internal controls for a temporary engagement, with a team that benefits from strong analytics and cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in accounting/finance and 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, plus solid US GAAP knowledge

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience (e.g., corporate accounting, public accounting, or a combination).
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and standard close processes (journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis).
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and comfort working with large data sets.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist with financial reporting support, including variance analysis and flux explanations.
• Maintain documentation to support accounting conclusions, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Support process improvement efforts (e.g., standardizing templates, enhancing close checklists, improving reconciliation quality).
• Perform other accounting support tasks as assigned that are consistent with the temporary nature of the engagement.
