Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Security Officer to cover multi-site operations in Dublin and Newbridge. The role requires PSA licence and the ability to respond to incidents across two sites.

You will guard entrances, monitor CCTV, support the facilities team and assist with emergencies while delivering high standards of service. Fully flexible to day and night shifts with on-site parking and a strong focus on health, safety and customer care; opportunities for career development within Sodexo benefits

Qualifications

• PSA licence is required.
• Previous security experience in a similar role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of fire detection systems and Health & Safety requirements.
• Knowledge of Food Safety regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• First Aid and AED qualification, or willingness to obtain.
• Flexibility to cover day and night shifts, holidays and sickness.
• A calm and professional approach when dealing with emergencies and challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out static guarding and gatehouse duties, ensuring site security procedures are followed.
• Monitor CCTV and fire life safety systems.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms and site notifications in line with procedures.
• Manage visitor access, issue security passes and maintain accurate site records.
• Support reception duties, including handling telephone calls.
• Conduct safety checks and report hazards or incidents.
• Assist with incident investigations and maintain accurate documentation.
• Support site evacuations and liaise with emergency services when required.
• Provide first aid assistance during on-site incidents where qualified.
• Maintain a professional approach and deliver a high standard of customer service.
• Ensure compliance with all site security, health and safety and operational procedures.

About the Role

You will play an important role in maintaining the safety and security of employees, visitors and site assets, while also supporting the wider facilities team when required.
