Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Security Officer to cover multi-site operations across Dublin and Newbridge. The role involves static guarding, CCTV monitoring, incident response and visitor management, with a focus on safety and high service standards.

You will work 42 hours per week on a day and night shift pattern (7am–7pm and 7pm–7am), with training and career development opportunities in a busy facilities environment. PSA licensed professionals preferred.

Qualifications

• A valid PSA licence.
• Previous security experience in a similar role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of fire detection systems and Health & Safety requirements.
• Knowledge of Food Safety regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• First Aid and AED qualification, or willingness to obtain.
• The flexibility to cover day and night shifts, holidays and sickness when required.
• A calm and professional approach when dealing with emergencies and challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out static guarding and gatehouse duties, ensuring site security procedures are followed
• Monitor CCTV and fire life safety systems
• Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms and site notifications in line with procedures
• Manage visitor access, issue security passes and maintain accurate site records
• Support reception duties, including handling telephone calls
• Conduct safety checks and report hazards or incidents
• Assist with incident investigations and maintain accurate documentation
• Support site evacuations and liaise with emergency services when required
• Provide first aid assistance during on-site incidents where qualified
• Maintain a professional approach and deliver a high standard of customer service
• Ensure compliance with all site security, health and safety and operational procedures

About the Role
