Job summary

Ei Electronics is seeking a hands-on IT & Cyber Security Engineer to own the organisation's security accreditation programme and drive continuous improvement toward ISO 27001 and CE+ readiness. The role sits in a hands-on IT team in a large Irish multinational, focusing on governance, security controls, and audit readiness.

You will manage Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Defender suite, and SIEM capabilities while coordinating incident response and audits.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
4–5 years hands-on IT experience with cybersecurity as a primary focus.
Experience implementing controls aligned to CE+, ISO 27001, CIS, NIST.
Practical experience with firewalls, IAM, patching, vulnerability remediation, and endpoint protection.
Hands-on with Microsoft security stack: Defender, Sentinel, Intune, Entra ID.

Responsibilities

Own and drive accreditation programs and security governance.
Embed security controls and ensure audit readiness across the organisation.
Maintain and evolve security policies aligned with CE+, ISO 27001, and CIS/NIST.
Manage configurations in Microsoft 365/Azure and monitor with SIEM.
Lead incident response, remediation, and coordination with external assessors.
