Job summary

Digital Waffle in Dublin is seeking an Information Security Consultant to join their security team. You will develop and implement information security, risk, governance and compliance frameworks, collaborating with internal stakeholders and clients.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with ISO 27001, risk assessments and security reviews, and will communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences while driving improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in information security / cyber security.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, CIS or similar frameworks.
• Experience conducting risk assessments, audits or security reviews.
• Strong understanding of information-security principles and controls.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Consultative approach with the ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct information-security risk assessments and gap analyses.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of ISO 27001 and other security frameworks.
• Develop and review security policies, procedures and controls.
• Provide advice around risk management, governance and compliance.
• Support security audits, assessments and assurance activities.
• Work with stakeholders to identify vulnerabilities and develop remediation plans.
• Produce clear security reports, recommendations and risk documentation.
• Support clients and internal teams with security-related queries and requirements.
• Keep up to date with emerging cyber threats, regulations and industry best practice.
• Assist with security improvement and transformation programmes.
