Job summary

Amazon Development Centre Ireland Limited is seeking an analytics engineer to help build and manage software that detects and mitigates cybersecurity threats across Amazon. You’ll work with data scientists, security engineers, and other software engineers to develop security solutions at a massive scale.

You will help detect unauthorized vulnerability scanning and exploit attempts, combining software, security, and data science to protect AWS services and customers.

Qualifications

• Experience (non-internship) in professional software development.
• Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
• Understanding of Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) used by threat actors or groups.
• This role requires you to be a national of an EU member state.

Responsibilities

• Research, identify, and prioritize security problems that can be detected using automation.
• Develop everything from detection prototypes to internet scale systems to solve classic and emergent security problems.
• Deep dive into data to differentiate benign and malicious activity.
