Job summary

Solas IT Recruitment is seeking a Securities & Derivatives Operations Analyst for a daily rate contract in Dublin City Centre. You will support day-to-day processing of securities and derivatives transactions, ensuring accuracy, resolving settlement issues and identifying operational risks.

The role suits someone with experience in securities, derivatives, settlements or trade processing within a large financial services environment. Strong analytical skills and Excel proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in banking/financial services operations
• Understanding of the securities lifecycle including clearance and settlement
• Exposure to derivatives and/or Treasury products
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to investigate transaction or settlement issues and drive resolution
• Experience in a controlled and regulated financial services environment
• Ability to manage multiple activities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Good Excel skills; macros beneficial

Responsibilities

• Process securities and derivatives transactions across the trade lifecycle
• Support clearance and settlement and investigate settlement issues
• Review transaction information and provide operational support for securities/derivatives
• Identify processing errors, breaks and exceptions and coordinate resolution
• Escalate transaction and settlement issues to the appropriate teams
• Analyse operational reports and identify trends and improvement areas
• Support production and review of management and operational reporting
• Contribute to process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce risk
• Support control activities and ensure processes align with procedures
• Assist with operational implementation of new products and services
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve transaction-processing issues
• Ensure activities comply with audit, control and regulatory requirements
• Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-risk environment
