Job summary

Global Tech Consultants is supporting a SAP S/4HANA greenfield transformation program in Cork, Ireland, to unify retail, foodservice, and wholesale operations. The SAP S/4 Onshore Datasphere Lead will own the end‑to‑end delivery plan for SAP Datasphere and analytics components, align stakeholders to the plan, and drive delivery with governance and standards.

Role requires 10+ years in lead data/analytics projects, hands-on SAP Datasphere expertise, and strong stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Extensive, 10+ years leading data/analytics and integration projects in grocery/retail/foodservice.
• Hands-on leadership in SAP Datasphere and enterprise analytics.
• Experience with BW/4HANA, SAC, HANA modeling, and data integration tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) in data contexts.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end Datasphere delivery plan including scope, milestones, dependencies.
• Drive stakeholder alignment across business, IT, and partners.
• Lead execution in a greenfield S/4HANA transformation.
• Define and enforce data/analytic standards and patterns.
• Coordinate data ingestion, modeling, semantic layer design.
• Proactively manage RAID items and mitigations.
• Communicate progress to senior stakeholders and escalate as needed.
• Ensure documentation and operational readiness for transition to perm.

Role Overview

Global Tech Consultants is supporting a high-pace, high-quality SAP S/4HANA greenfield transformation program to unify retail, foodservice, and wholesale operations by replacing multiple legacy environments with a single S/4HANA platform. The SAP S/4 Onshore Datasphere Lead will own the end-to-end delivery plan for SAP Datasphere and associated analytics/integration components, align stakeholders to that plan, and execute delivery with a strong focus on governance, standards, and predictable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end Datasphere delivery plan, including scope, milestones, dependencies, resourcing assumptions, and delivery governance.
• Drive stakeholder alignment and decision‑making across business, IT, and external delivery partners to agree and maintain the plan.
• Lead execution of the plan, ensuring delivery quality and speed in a greenfield S/4HANA transformation environment.
• Define and enforce integration and data/analytics standards, patterns, and ways of working across teams and partners.
• Lead architecture and delivery across SAP Datasphere, BW/4HANA, SAC, HANA modeling, and data integration components (e.g., SDI/SLT).
• Coordinate data ingestion, modeling, semantic layer design, and consumption patterns to support retail, foodservice, and wholesale use cases.
• Proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies; maintain clear RAID and mitigation plans tied to delivery outcomes.
• Communicate progress, trade‑offs, and impacts clearly to senior stakeholders; ensure timely escalations and resolution.
• Ensure documentation, knowledge transfer, and operational readiness to support transition from contract to perm where applicable.

Minimum Qualifications

• Significant experience in grocery retail domain delivery, ideally across wholesale/retail/foodservice operating models.
• Proven leadership experience (typically 10+ years in lead roles) delivering complex data/analytics and integration workstreams.
• Hands-on and leadership-level expertise in SAP Datasphere and enterprise analytics delivery in SAP landscapes.
• Strong experience with BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), HANA modeling, and data integration tooling such as SDI/SLT.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS and/or GCP) in data/analytics contexts.
• Strong understanding of integration patterns, governance, standards, and cross-team delivery coordination.
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills with the ability to align diverse groups to a single plan and execute under pace.
• Ability to work onsite in Cork.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience on SAP S/4HANA greenfield transformation programs replacing multiple legacy environments.
• Experience operating within multi-vendor delivery models and managing external delivery partners.
• Familiarity with retail master data, merchandising, pricing, promotions, inventory, supply chain, and store operations analytics use cases.
