Job Purpose:

Retail Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assisting customers
• Pricing of products
• Use of the In-House Software
• Coordinating with supplier and warehouse staff regarding stock availability.
• Preparing quotations and processing sales orders
• Managing online enquiries and responding promptly to customer requests
• Carrying out any additional duties as required to meet business requirements

Requirements:

• Experience working in a professional high-standard retail environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service experience from cash till management to customer interaction.
• Highly motivated and innovative.
• Work as part of a Team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Computer proficiency (MS Excel & Outlook)
• Friendly, helpful attitude.
• Previous experience in a builders' merchants or building supplies environment is desirable but not essential.
