Job summary

Centenary Home & Garden is seeking a Retail Assistant to join our Thurles team. The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service, maintain store merchandising, and adapt to business needs in a busy home and garden retail environment.

The role is full-time (39 hours per week) with a competitive pay package, pension, life assurance, and sick pay, plus training opportunities and a bike-to-work scheme. On-site parking and events are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in Hardware/Agri Retail/DIY/Gardening or similar preferred.
• Provide an excellent level of customer service.
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Be willing to adapt and take on new challenges and be flexible to the business requirements.
• Ensure highest standards of merchandising and presentation of the store.
• Have the ability to work on their own initiative.

We currently have an excellent job opportunity for a Retail Assistant to join our team in Thurles.

The successful candidate will:

• Ideally, but not essential, have experience within Hardware, Agri Retail, DIY, Gardening or a similar role
• Provide an excellent level of customer service
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Be willing to adapt and take on new challenges and be flexible to the business requirements
• Ensure highest standards of merchandising and presentation of the store
• Have the ability to work on their own initiative
