Moriarty Group is recruiting for a part-time Butcher Counterhand at the Palmerstown Super Valu, Dublin 20. The role involves supporting the butchery team in a busy fresh department, with shifts evenings, weekends and holidays.

You will assist with counter operations, merchandising and delivering excellent customer service in a friendly supermarket environment. Full training provided and strong teamwork is essential.

Butcher Counterhand Opportunity at Moriarty’s Super Valu, Palmerstown, Dublin 20.

The Moriarty Group is an Irish owned company, involved in both the retail grocery and hotel industries. The company owns three large Super Valu, Stores in Balbriggan, Skerries and Palmerstown and two 4* hotels, the Courtyard Hotel, Leixlip, Co. Kildare and the Bracken Court Hotel in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin. The company currently employees 550 staff.

The Moriarty Group of Super Valu's are 3 of the largest Super Valu stores in the Dublin area. We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Butcher Department Assistant to join the fresh foods team in our Palmerstown store.

The Role:

This is a part-time/flexi position working an average of 28-30 hours per week, 5 days over 7 to include weekends and public holidays.

Main Duties:

• Assisting the butchery team in the day-to-day operations of this busy department
• Counter merchandising/displays.
• Providing excellent customer care to all customers.

Requirements:

• Must be fluent in the English Language both written and spoken.
• Previous experience working as a counterhand in a butchery department is desirable but is not essential as full training can be given.
• Must have excellent customer care skills.
• Must have strong people skills.
• Must have strong communications skills.
• Must be willing to assist in all areas of the fresh department.
• Must be available to work evening shifts mid-week and weekends.
• Must be able to work as a team and on own initiative.
