Global Professional Consultants seeks a Safety Officer for a major civil engineering project in the Greater Dublin area, with Dublin Airport as a key site. The role focuses on maintaining high health and safety standards across site activities.

You will implement policies, conduct inspections, and liaise with project teams to ensure compliance with Irish H&S regulations. A Health & Safety qualification and 2–5 years’ experience are required, along with a driving licence.

Formación

• Relevant Health & Safety qualification.
• 2–5 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role within construction or civil engineering.
• Civil engineering, infrastructure, or groundworks experience is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation.
• Experience carrying out site inspections and audits.
• Good understanding of risk assessments and method statements.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with site teams and subcontractors.
• Full driving licence.

Responsabilidades

• Implement and monitor the company’s Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and safety checks.
• Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and regulations.
• Monitor civil, groundworks, excavation, and infrastructure activities.
• Assist with risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses and assist with corrective actions.
• Deliver toolbox talks and site safety briefings.
• Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and employees on health and safety matters.
• Maintain accurate health and safety records and documentation.
• Promote a strong positive safety culture across the project.
• Assist with safety reporting and ongoing improvements to site safety standards.
