Job summary

Centra in Lucan is seeking an energetic assistant to support the management team across store operations and to gain hands-on experience in multiple departments. You will contribute to sales targets, brand standards, and daily store execution.

The role focuses on cash handling, fresh food familiarity, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment. Training and development are provided to help you grow within the Centra brand.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in the retail industry is desirable.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Experience balancing cash/tills is desirable.
• Experience with fresh food.
• Strong work ethic and drive.
• Commerciality and brand awareness.
• Passion for grocery retail.
• Thrive in a fast-paced working environment.

Responsibilities

• Actively live Centra brand-values i.e. Proud, Energetic, Imaginative and Community-Based.
• Set, monitor and achieve sales targets with the team on gross profit margin, net margin, waste and other KPIs as agreed with Store Manager.
• Participate in training and development initiatives and performance assessments.
• Merchandise and present the store to the highest standard according to planograms and guidelines.
• Implement planograms correctly and ensure the correct range is in place in store.
• Gain competence with all aspects of supply procedures—ordering, delivery, stock rotation and control procedures.
• Manage departments as assigned and engage with new initiatives and ways of working.
