Job summary

Gala Store Ballinhassig in Cork is seeking an experienced Retail Store Manager to oversee daily operations, drive sales, and maintain high store standards. You will lead a team of around 15 associates, ensuring excellent customer service, efficient cash handling, and compliance with H&S policies.

The role entails developing sales strategies, monitoring performance, and managing budgets, inventory, and displays to maximise profitability. Flexible hours and weekly pay are offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Retail Manager or Supervisor in a similar retail environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to analyse and use sales data to improve store performance.
• Familiarity with retail management software, point-of-sale systems, and inventory management.

This growing Irish organisation has played an integral role in the Irish Food industry for over 100 years. Over the last 10 years, turnover has grown from €20 million to €50 million and in recent years the headcount has grown from 70 to 160. Significant further growth is envisaged over the coming few years which makes this a fantastic time to join the team.

We are seeking an experienced Retail Store Manager for a Gala Store in Ballinhassig, Cork. In this role you shall oversee the daily operation of our store ensuring the highest levels of standard, store performance, and operational efficiency. Engage with customers to build brand loyalty and encourage repeat business. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including H&S, loss prevention and cash handling.

You will lead and manage a team of approximately 15 associates.

The successful candidate will display leadership qualities, have ability to drive sales, maintain inventory and ensure an overall efficient and smooth running store.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Financial & Store Management

• Manage store budgets, expenses and approve payroll for processing by HQ.
• Maximise profitability through effective pricing, promotional and seasonal campaigns.
• Maintain a visually appealing and clean store well organised and fully stocked while engaging store displays.
• Analyse sales data and prepare reports for Management.
• Manage store inventory, track stock levels, and reorder products as necessary.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Retail Manager or Supervisor in a similar retail environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to analyse and use sales data to improve store performance.
• Familiarity with retail management software, point-of-sale systems, and inventory management.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
