Job summary

Supermac's Ballyhea is seeking full-time Retail & Forecourt Assistants to join our team at Ballyhea Express Top Oil Service Station in Charleville, Co. Cork.

You will provide friendly, efficient customer service, handle transactions, restock shelves and maintain cleanliness and food safety standards. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of retail experience, the right to work in Ireland, be 18 or older and fully flexible for shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year's previous retail experience is essential.
• Candidates must have the legal right to work full-time in Ireland.
• Must be at least 18 years old due to the sale of alcohol and tobacco.
• Must be fully flexible to work the shifts required by the business.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and efficient customer service.
• Handle customer queries and complaints professionally.
• Assist customers with purchases and provide information about products and promotions.
• Process transactions and handle payments in accordance with company procedures.
• Replenish shelves, receive deliveries, rotate stock, and maintain accurate stock levels.
• Keep the store, stockroom, Coffee Dock, and staff facilities clean and organised.
• Monitor stock to minimise waste and prevent stock loss.
• Assist with stocktaking and maintain accurate shelf-edge labels.
• Support the Supermac's counter during busy periods when required.
• Prepare food for sale in accordance with HACCP procedures.
• Monitor and record temperatures and maintain HACCP documentation.
• Ensure food is stored, handled, and displayed safely to prevent contamination.
• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements.
• Work effectively as part of a team and support colleagues when required.
• Carry out other reasonable duties assigned by the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
