Job summary

Enable Ireland in Ireland is seeking a Respite Support Worker for CHO8 Children Services in County Meath. This 12 month fixed term contract requires evening/after-school and weekend work, with 23.4 hours weekly (0.60 WTE) and 30 days annual leave pro rata.

The successful candidate will have QQI Level 5 in Social Care/Disability, at least 1 year working with children, a full driving license, and eligibility to work in the state. Garda vetting may apply.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 Major Award in Social Care/Disability/Care Skills or related health field.
• Minimum 1 year experience working with children.
• Experience in disability services.
• Full driving license and access to own transport.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Experience of working in respite services.

Responsibilities

• Provide respite services to children and young people in County Meath.
• Work afterschool and weekends as required.
• Attend to individual care plans and person-centred supports.
• Collaborate with the team and families.
