Job summary

CPL Healthcare is seeking a Social Care Worker to join a respite service in Naas, Co. Kildare. The role focuses on delivering person-centred supports to autistic adults with complex needs, promoting independence, dignity and community participation.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to care plans, recording outcomes, and ensuring supports adhere to legislation and best practice.

Qualifications

• Essential QQI Level 7 in Social Care or equivalent recognised in Ireland.
• Eligible for CORU registration as a Social Care Worker (or registration in progress).
• Alternatively a related degree with at least 2 years’ Social Care experience.
• At least 6 months’ recent experience in social care with complex needs.
• Full, clean driving licence.
• Experience in autism or disability services is desirable/essential in practice.
• Availability for rostered shifts including evenings, weekends and nights.
• Eligible to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, person-centred support per individual plans.
• Assist with daily living activities, personal care, routines and skills.
• Promote independence, rights, and community participation.
• Contribute to care plans and PCP development.
• Support engagement in community activities and relationships.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation per standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues, families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Deliver supports in line with legislation and best practice.
